In plain language, per FTC guidelines: some links on this site make us money. Here's exactly how.

What's an affiliate link?

Some product links on The Fat Stuff Blog — including the "Check price" and similar buttons on review and roundup pages — are affiliate links, mostly through the Amazon Associates program. If you click one and buy something (not always the exact item linked, sometimes anything in that shopping session), this site earns a small commission. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same whether you use our link or go straight to the retailer.

What that doesn't change

No product gets a better review, a higher rating, or a spot in a roundup because it pays better as an affiliate. Theodore buys or sources review units independently and writes the verdict before affiliate links get added to a page. If something's bad, the review says so, commission or not.

Where you'll see this

Every review and roundup with affiliate links carries a short version of this disclosure near the top of the page, so it's visible before you start reading — not buried in a footer you'd never scroll to.

Testing and sourcing

Review units are either purchased independently or, occasionally, provided by a manufacturer for testing. When a unit was provided free of charge, that's stated in the review itself. Either way, the unit gets returned, kept, or disposed of after testing — it's never a condition of a favorable review.
