Why this exists

Most product reviews are written for an average body, by people who've never wondered whether a toilet seat will hold them or a shower bench will hold still. That gap isn't a niche problem — it's most of us, most of the time, guessing at whether something will actually work before we buy it.

This site exists to close that gap for one category at a time. It launches with bathroom and hygiene — bidets, toilet seats, raised seats, the stuff that's genuinely hard to buy blind — and will expand into seating, travel gear, and clothing.

How things get tested

Every review here follows the same process: read the spec sheet, measure it yourself, use it the way it's actually used, and write down what happened. That means:

• A spec box with the manufacturer's stated weight rating alongside our own measured widths and clearances — not just the marketing number.
• Bench-test results: what we measured directly, not what the box claims.
• Real-use ratings for the specific moments that matter — sitting upright, leaning forward, reaching back, getting up — instead of one star score standing in for all of it.
• Plain pros, cons, and a verdict. No hedging to keep an affiliate relationship comfortable.
• 30- and 90-day follow-ups where it matters, plus reader reports from people who bought the thing.

The voice, on purpose

This site says "fat" plainly, because that's the word most of the people reading it actually use. It doesn't use clinical language, and it doesn't reach for euphemisms either. It's blunt about the problem — gear that wasn't designed or tested for a wide range of bodies — and never blunt about the reader. Weight loss and body positivity are both outside its scope; the only question a review here answers is whether the product works.
